We gather at our private bus terminal (located on Alameda Pachacutec 495 in Cusco) at 9.30 PM ready for the 10 PM departure to Puno. The overnight journey lasts for about 8 hours, arriving in Puno by 6 AM. Upon arrival, you will have some free time to buy your breakfast in one of the local restaurants.
We meet again at 7.00 AM and board on our ferry to the infamous Uros floating islands, arriving shortly after. We then explore the islands on a guided tour and learn about the history and the culture of the locals.
At 9 AM we return to the boat to continue our adventure on the highest navigable lake on earth out to the remote Island of Taquile, arriving by midday. During our visit of Taquile we will learn about the textile art and traditions of this place and we will also have some great views of Lake Titicaca from a couple of amazing viewpoints. We then have lunch on the island.
At 2.30 PM we start cruising the lake to return back to Puno. We will be dropped of at the Pacha Suites Hotel at around 5.30 PM, not far from the main square. You can use this hotel for free luggage storage and you can take a shower for extra 10 PEN soles.
You will then have the rest of the afternoon to explore Puno on your own and have dinner in one of the many restaurants in the city centre. At 9 PM we get together at the hotel and take our bus to return to Cusco. You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Cusco between 6 and 6.30 AM the following morning.
