This half day tour includes the visit to the famous Casa Dorada as well as to two of the most important museums of the city. Pickup from your accommodation is included. Two departures per day except for Saturday afternoon and Sundays.

ITINERARYITINERARY

You will get picked up at either 9.00 or 14.00 from your central accommodation. The highlights of this city tour are:

  • Main square: a colorful square, administrative and financial centre of the city 
  • Casa Dorada: a stunning example of late 1800's architecture, filled with history and paintings from the last two centuries. The Casa Dorada used to belong to one of the richest families of the area and is now the Tarija's House of Culture, where many events and exhibitions take place every year.
  • Paleontological Museum: hundreds of fossils and a large number of archaeological rests can be found in this museum, that was opened in 1959. 
  • San Francisco Musem: ancient monastery that contains several examples of colonial works.
The tour lasts for about 4 hours and you will get dropped off back at your hotel at around 13.00 (or 18.00 for afternoon tours).
