This combined tour visiting both the Madid Jungle & the Pampas areas is our most popular combination tour taking in both of these places..A visit to the pampas is highly recommended especially for animal lovers and you can see lots of wildlife during a pampas tour and this can include Pink River Dolphins, Monkeys, Caiman, Turtles, Piranhas, Anacondas, Capybaras, lots of different kinds of birds and more. The jungle offers a different experience and takes you to the "real" Amazon rainforest, with lush, dense tropical vegetation, the incredible sounds of the jungle at night and offers a chance to learn about the jungle enviroment, is medicinal plants and huge variety of flora & fauna.

Below is a typical itinerary to give you an idea of how the tours often are but it should be noted that the order of activities can change depending on what the group decides or outisde influences such as weather. You will usually cover all the activities during the course of a tour though.

It is also important to remember that wildlife is unpredictable and there are no guarantees that you see a particular animal but we can say we confidence you will see some of the things on the list. During the Pampas visit most tourists see the dolphins, caiman, monkeys, turtles and various birds at the very least. Anacondas are certainly not easy to see but are easier in dry season. In the jungle it is harder to spot animals due to the density of the foilage but it is possible to see wild pigs, tapirs, tarantulas, macaws, monkeys, armadillos. If your extremely lucky you will get a glimpse of the elusive jaguar but this is very rare for tourists.

ITINERARYITINERARY

The following is a typical itinerary for the Mashaquipe 5 Day Jungle & Pampas Combo Tour but please note that whilst usually most of the activities listed the order in which they happen might change due to the decisions of the group or other circumstances such as weather.Sometimes the Pampas tour is first but sometimes , due to logistics the Jungle is visited first.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONIMPORTANT INFORMATION

The runway in Rurrenabaque is now paved but if there are cloudy conditions then flights cannot take off or land due to visability issues, so in the rainy season delays and cancellations are common. If your flight is delayed the system works like a queue and passengers are rescheduled according to who was originally due to fly first when the cancellation took place. If you need to cancel due to delays that cause your flight to be moved to the next day, you can receive a full refund on condition you cancel your rescheduled flight before the departure time, return the original ticket to us and supply a photo copy of your passport.

Accommodation - You can choose to spend the nights at the lodges in a dorm with other people, or upgrade to a single/double/triple room (see below). Bathroom in the jungle is always a shared option and in the pampas it will be normally be  private bathroom (unless you choose the dorm option - in that case it could be shared also in the pampas depending on availability).

You should be in reasonable physical condition for a tour of this type and understand that some conditions are basic and are lacking in comforts -  this is the Amazon!
