The area of Sopocachi is a popular residential area with a good social scene, popular with expats, language students and NGOs. There are lots of regular bus connections to the center or zona sur and a taxi to the center should take around 10 minutes and cost around 10bs (1.5usd). The hotel is one block from Plaza de España which is home to a supermarket and other facilities and just a few blocks from Plaza Avaroa which has numerous good restaurants and cafes.
