TOURS IN PARACAS - ICA - HUACACHINA

Paracas is a coastal town in western Peru and is the starting point for trips to the Ballestas Islands.

Commonly, perhaps unfairly, referred to as the "poor mans Galapagos"  trips to these islands mean you can spot sea lions, penguins, dolphins and lots of birds.

You cant get out and walk around on the islands though and you do your wild life spotting from the boat. This is to protect the enviroment for the animals.

Ica  is mostly known for being the place that produces Pisco the national drink of Peru and obviously the key ingredient in a Pisco Sour.

It also is a wine producing area and you can do tours to learn about the pisco and wine making , plus of course sample some of the produce!

Huachina is probably like no place you have ever been before.

This tranquil desert oasis is a great place to kick back and relaz for a few days. Take strolls around the lake or chill on a hammock in one of the number of hostels or hotels.

If you are looking for a bit more action though the dunes surrounding the lake on all sides are the perfect playground to embark on dune buggy rides and try your hand at sandboarding.
