DAY 1
You will meet at Lima bus station at 7.00 and catch a local bus to Paracas - from there you will start your guided tour to the beautiful Paracas National Reserve. During this tour you will see the highlights of the area, such as the local flamencos (parihuanas), the La Catedral rock formation (created by sea and wind erosion), and the unique Playa Roja, part of the coastline where you can find thousands of fossils. You will then spend some time chilling out at the Playa Lagunillas beach before heading back to the town of Paracas where you will spend the night (you can choose the room type you prefer - see below).
DAY 2
The second day is more adventurous - you will embark on a fantastic boat ride to the Ballestas Islands. You will have the opportunity to explore this paradise and will be able to spot the local fauna on the rocks, such as big groups of sea lions, small penguin families, and a huge variety of sea birds like seagulls, cormorants and others. You might also be lucky enough to see dolphins in the water. On your way to the islands, you will also pass by the so-called Candelabra geoglyph - a huge, mysterious stone figure that is said to have a connection with the Nazca Lines. Back to Paracas, you will then catch a local bus back to Lima, where you will get to late in the afternoon.
