ITINERARYITINERARY
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Cusco at around 6.00 am. You will then get on the bus and move towards the small town of Calca (one hour approximately). After a short break, the trip continues to a peak known as the Abra of Lares (4470 mt), from which you will get ready to start your ride at around 10.30 am on your mountain bikes after you listen to our professional guide's instructions and do some training till feel completely comfortable on the bikes. The snowcapped mountains surrounding you will leave you speechless. The environment around you is the typical Andean landscape, i. e. isolated highlands covered only with straw. The scenery then changes and turns into a canyon - on the way, you will have the chance to see alpacas, vicuñas and llamas, small typical villages and farms. You will also visit some “chullpas” (pre-inca ruins), which are an evidence of how important this area was for ancient civilizations. You will then have a relaxing lunch-break. After this you will continue your bike ride till you reach the hot water springs called Machacancha. Later you will start your way back to the village of Calca (takes 1 hour approximately), where our private transportation will take you back to Cusco, arriving around 19.30. Perfectly suitable for beginners too!
