You will get picked up at 8.30 from your central accommodation. The highlights of this walking tour are:
- Plaza 25 de Mayo: here you will see the main buildings around this and our guide will explain you the importance of this place in the history of Bolivia
- The local market: try the delicious “tojorí” breakfast (a very traditional drink made out of corn - hot and filling)
- Obelisk and Bolivar park: this used to be a private garden of the richest man in Sucre and was afterwards given to Sucre's citizens
- Kinder Park: Sucre is known for having dinosaur tracks all over the place and this is a theme park all about dinos (please note this is not the Parque Cretacico where the footprints are but just a theme park)
- La Recoleta: here is where the city was founded, and also the best viewpoint over the city
- Try the typical drink called “chicha” (alcoholic drink based on the fermentation of corn)
- The cemetery: “today us, tomorrow you” reads the inscription at the entrance gate - this is possibly the most beautiful place of all Sucre, and you will get to see how rich people were back in the 1800's in South America.
