ITINERARYITINERARY
DAY 1
You will get picked up from the airport / bus terminal in Iquitos and taken to the office for the last arrangements. Then we start our adventure with a 3-hour-river boat trip through the huge Amazon river, during which you will start feeling the magic of the jungle. We arrive at the lodge, settle and then have a delicious buffet lunch. We start our afternoon activities with another boat trip to Lake Sapote - during this trip, you will have the opportunity to spot a large variety of animals, especialy birds, like panguanas, kingfishers, parrots and more. We continue the journey and move towards the Laguna Moena, where you will be able to observe monkeys, sloths and squirrels in their daily routine. We enjoy the sunset near the lagoon before making our way back to the lodge. Dinner will be served and you will end your day with a fascinating nocturnal excursion to see animals like caimans and others.

DAY 2
On the second day we wake up early and have a tasty breakfast at the lodge. Today we go out for a morning hike during which you will be able to explore more of the Amazon wildlife. You will get to taste the special water taken out from the Uncaria tomentosa (cat's claw), which is said to have powerful medical properties. You will get to see the Ceiba trees - among the highest in the world - and, if lucky, spot the world's smallest monkey, the pygmy marmoset. We return to the lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon we go fishing - after a short boat ride we get to the Purura and Corrientes lakes where our knoledgeable guide will teach us how to fish the notorious piranha. We enjoy the rest of the day exploring the surroundings and then we go back to the lodge for dinner. At night we go out for a hike looking for giant frogs and tarantulas.

DAY 3
Another boat ride is waiting for us today, this time to the secluded Laguna Casha - getting there can be quite challenging due to its complicated location. We spend our morning exploring the area and the variety of the local vegetation. After lunch we set off on a canoe ride to the Juanachi lake to have a closer view of monkeys' behaviour - it's highly recommended to have a good camera on you. Back to the lodge, dinner  will be served and we spend the evening with the rest of the group.

DAY 4
After an early breakfast we set off for a 5-hour-hike to the purest and virgin heart of this part of the Amazon. Today we have a pic-nic outdoor in harmony with the surrounding nature, at Blackwaters Creek. In the afternoon we will visit the local community of San Juan de Yanayacu and take part in some interesting workshops with the locals and purchase some handmade souvenirs. Back to the lodge we have dinner and go out for a night canoe trip for our last night in the Amazon.

DAY 5
We leave the lodge early in the morning and start our morning boat ride along the Amazon river - you will have breakfast on the boat. We will make a stop to allow you to swim with the beautiful pink river dolphins before making your way back to the lodge and have lunch (buffet style). You will also have the chance to see the Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic plant in the world, and to spot iguanas on the shores. In the afternoon, unfortunately we have to start making our way back to Iquitos - it takes about 3 hours to get there on our last boat ride. You will arrive in Iquitos at around 17.30.
