This day trip will give you the opportunity to visit a few fascinating pueblos (Andean villages) located in the Sacred Valley: Pisac, Calca, Urubamba and more - real Inca stuff! The Sacred Valley is one of the main areas where the Inca civilization flourished due to its favorable position and the numerous rivers that pass through it, that make this valley the perfect place for settling down and produce corn to support the empire. This tour departs daily with a minimum of two people.

This day trip will give you the opportunity to visit a few fascinating pueblos (Andean villages) located in the Sacred Valley (Cusco region). The Sacred Valley is one of the main areas where the Inca civilization flourished due to its favorable position and the numerous rivers that pass through it, that make this valley the perfect place for settling down and produce corn to support the empire.

ITINERARYITINERARY
You will be picked up around 8.00 am (from central Cusco accommodations) and head towards the village of P'isaq (Písac) on a safe tourist bus. In this colonial village you will have the chance to buy some souvenirs and get lost in the colorful local handmade market. You will then move up to the archaeological site which still preserves the fascinating historical atmosphere of Incan times. Back on the bus, you will go visit the picturesque villages of Calca and Urubamba where a delicious buffet lunch with traditional dishes is waiting for you (for only 10$). In the afternoon, the tour goes on to Ollantaytambo, both the town and its unique Inca village. You will then start making your way back to Cusco, this time via Chinchero, one of the most interesting places in the Andes, which offers stunning views over endless fields and the glacier chain. You will enjoy the sunset, visit the local church (built on an ancient Inca royal palace) and the museum. You will be back in Cusco at about 7.00 pm.

  • It is recommended to be in Cusco a day before the tour to do your check-in.
  • This tour is not strenuous but does involve light walking around the sights.
  • Entrance fees are not included in the price, see HERE for more info. Peru government offers a ticket called Boleto Turistico General which includes the entrance to 16 sites and lasts for 10 days (130 soles), or a Boleto Turistico Parcial lasting 1 day and including entrance to 4 sites. Otherwise you can just purchase tickets individually. We are not responsible for changes in the entrance fees.
