Meet at 9.30 and we start our tour by riding through the vibrant Santiago city center, with fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood markets all around. Our knowledgeable guide will tell us about the history of the city and we will also get to see it through the eyes of locals. We will bike around the Patronato neighborhood as well as the Korean and Middle Eastern districts. We then continue our tour to the fruit and vegetable market in La Vega where we will also have time to buy a refreshing juice, before we go on to the seafood market where we will see some fresh salmon, shrimp and more. You will learn about Chile's rich cultural history from the graffiti murals in town and then explore the city center by riding around the Plaza de Armas and the Mapocho train terminal. This tour also includes a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, San Cristobal Hill, the Metropolitan Park and Pablo Neruda's house.

Afternoon tour
For the afternoon tour we meet at 14.30 and then start biking through Santiago's parks while we talk about Chilean culture, education and more. We then immerse ourselves in the chaotic downtown and learn about General Pinochet's notorious 1973 political coup and its consequences on the history of the country. By taking this tour, you will be explained how important Chile has been as a regional and international political player since it's independence (1810). We will explore the Providencia neighborhood as well as the Balmaceda and Bustamante parks and an early 20th century aristocratic neighborhood. We will also stop at Plaza Italia, the former United States Embassy, the Diego Portales building, the Lastarria and the Paris-London neighborhoods as well as the Presidential Palace. This is an intriguing city tour and it's the ideal option for those who are interested in the history of the city.
