Salta is located in the rocky valleys in northern Argentina in an entirely different landscape from the rest of the country. Due to being only a few hours away from the Bolivian border (6 hours approximately by bus) it's usually either the last step before leaving Argentina for those heading North or the first city of the country for those heading down to Patagonia. In any case almost all travellers go through Salta at least once, though not many decide to stay for long.
We think Salta is a real beauty and deserves at least a couple of days of visiting. The day tours that you see below can be very useful and worthy for you in order to visit the area in a short time.
