ENTRANCES FEES FOR SALT FLATS TOURS HAVE RISEN BUT ARE ON HOLD!

It is all very confusing!!! - We reported that the entrance fees for the salt flats were due to rise in November, then that changed to January and  we can now confirm that the official fee to enter the national park has risen to 150bs from 30bs . BUT there was a meeting in Uyuni and it was decided that the price should stay at 30bs until some new facilities had been installed such as toilets etc and now there is an agreement that it will stay at 30bs until March -   April. So basically the official rise has been put on hold again but you should take the extra money in case as nothing seems very certain!!!

The price rise expected from 15bs to 30bs for Isla Incahuasi (isla Pescado) does not seem to be in place yet but best to take the extra just in case!

Flights To Rurrenabaque

Flight to Rurrenabaque Amaszonas

Flights are often cancelled or delayed now due to rain and it is just luck if it effects you are not. We strongly advise that you have extra days in your schedule to allow for these delays as it is possible to have delays of days that effect you.We are  out of the busy season now and flight schedules are now down to 4 or less flights per day.It is still advisable to book a couple of days in advance though in order to get the flight time you would like but be aware the delays will often disrupt schedules and your booked  time might change anyway

Road to Uyuni & Todo Turismo Bus

Road to Uyuni

The todo turismo bus is currently not running and is likely to not resume services until March. This is due to road conditions and problems encountered last year such as damage to the buses they wish to avoid this year. This could change if conditions improve. Local buses and the trains are still running at present.
