After exploring Bolivia and experiencing its wonders the logical step was to share our knowledge with travelers who want to do the same, so Kanoo Tours was created.First we opened inside Loki Hostel La Paz and shortly after in the Adventure Brew Hostel La Paz - the two biggest hostels in Bolivia.
Our goal is simple - provide quality tours, efficient service, but most importantly: to be honest with our customers. From our experience working with tourists in Bolivia, as well as traveling ourselves, we know a common problem is that the agencies tell you anything to get you to buy something from them. They promise flights will go during times when most are cancelled, tell you accommodations are luxury privates when they are really freezing cold dorms, provide lists of things included in tours that never appear and don’t list the extra charges that do. In our experience this is what annoys people the most.We don’t work like that because we know ourselves how annoying the lies are and we don’t want to spend half our time dealing with angry customers! We know this is the best approach and are customers tell us daily that they appreciate this striaghtforward service.
We can’t promise you that nothing will go wrong; we won’t tell you there will never be delays. Lets face it this is South America - protests, bad roads, rainy seasons and mosquitoes are common and all beyond our control – but we will provide you with a true description of what to expect along with fair prices. We don’t cut corners to offer the cheapest tours in town, instead we want to offer experiences that you will make your time in Bolivia as memorable & enjoyable as possible.
Safety is always an important aspect of a tour but it is even more important in a developing country like Bolivia that has less strict regulations to ensure the safety of tourists. For this reason we will not work with companies that have less than adequate safety records and monitor the partner agencies that we do work with closely. We encourage our customers to report anything they consider to be below exceptable safety standards to us so we can investigate and take action.
